When your own father sues you for $100 Million, that’s got to say something about character flaws. But putting those aside for the moment, there’s a vicious rumor going around Hollywood that Whitney Houston wears panty hose with open toed sandals. To be sure, a fashion faux pas right up there with Bea Arthur being one’s date at a porno awards show. Notwithstanding those on again off again rumors about Whitney going recreationally south of the equator with women, we’re calling on our forensics boys with the magnifying glasses to get a ruling on this one. Although it’s a known fact that women who attend the Dinah Shore Golf Tournament do dress for other golfers. On this nagging pantyhose issue, a smart attorney might argue that Whitney’s feet are merely “dusky” thus lending that illusion. Another attorney might spar with the notion that mosquito netting is a trick learned from an African village. In any event, known as “The Voice,” Houston, the one time gospel singer, later became known as “The Joke,” when she married celebrity goofball Bobby Brown. Born in Newark and raised as a yell-for-the-ceiling Pentacostal, Whitney has famous relatives like Dionne Warwick whose psychic network failed to predict disaster in that Brown hookup. A darling of the MTV set, Whitney recorded song after song in the Eighties prompting slender men to adopt loafers without socks while seeking the companionship of larger, burlier men with motorcycles. The piece de resistance was Whitney’s soundtrack album from The Bodyguard a factor, alone, which accounted for an astounding number of transgender operations in the early Nineties. With a career that’s had more ups and downs than a heart monitor, Whitney proves that fame often lends a false sense of security versus the realities of appearance. Her outfit, from the Delroy Lindo collection, is a strong example, while those feet are an example of a “2″.
