Charlotte Gainsbourg’s Feet

Let’s be clear up front. Affiliated in no way with Gainsborough’s Blue Boy, the waifish, Charlotte Gainsbourg is the daughter of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg. If that doesn’t ring a bell, Quasimodo, it’s the team, who, in the Sixties, turned sex and heavy breathing into the widely banned Top 10 Best Selling record called Je t’aime. We know people who took up French just so they could figure out what the hell Birkin was saying during her orgasms. And rumor has it Birkin and Gainsbourg were copulating during that record. So it would have been even a better story had Charlotte been spit out nine months later. Even though that wasn’t the case, Charlotte hasn’t done too badly with the outlandish sex angle, either, having posed naked in a ladies room wash basin for no particular reason. Blessed with her father’s beezer and her mother’s legs, Charlotte made her musical debut with the old man on the song “Lemon Incest,” about a woman who has disturbing sex with her brother’s glass of ice tea. And it was her uncle, screenwriter Andrew Birkin who directed her in the 1993 art house flick Cement Garden- in which a young French girl puzzles why her tulips aren’t growing. Gainsbourg’s longtime boyfriend and spouse is the French actor and director Yvan Attal. They have two children, Ben and Alice, and are looking for a second son to name, Jerry. Granted the dress is from the Benihana Kimono clearance sale, but for a woman who’s adopted the Carmen Basilio, knocked out with a left hook in the First Round look, we find Charlotte puzzlingly attractive. Because we know deep down in our soul those shapely legs and playful, suggestive feet which would look good squishing in wet cement, we’ll gave them a lucky “7″.
