Alana de la Garza’s Feet

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, we take a look at prime time TV actress Alana de la Garza, a distant relative of the Spanish conquistador, Jose de la Canseco. Born in Columbus, Ohio, a city named after Ponce de Leon, Alana was raised in El Paso, a city named after a Mexican bodily function. Winner of a Miss Photogenic title in a Miss El Paso contest, de la Garza, in doing so, made the Who’s Who of former Columbus residents living in that city. While parlaying this heavy hitting credential into an acting career, Alana specialized in roles requiring psychotic ethnic chicks. Who could forget her character Connie Rubirosa in the 17th season premier of Law & Order? We certainly can’t. And her evocative Rosa Santos in All My Children made us want to flush ours down the john along with the newborn kittens. We’re kidding, of course. And we think that once Alana rids herself of that hit in the face with a sack of tacos, 1,000 yard stare, she’s going to be one of those actresses in line for roles Hillary Swank’s getting too old to play. Exhibiting digression, yet nuance, Alana’s toes have a manana sensibility about them. However we have established the Katrina Bowden rule about the meandering right toe and must hold Alana, as well, accountable. And because it’s more obvious with her left, we’ll wait until May “6″ before making up our minds.
